OUR STORY
2020 was a pivotal year. So much of what we’d hidden away or ignored came rushing back into consciousness. The profound silence of that year created space for us to actually start to hear.
As things were changing inside of us, the world around us was changing, too. So much of our local community had been decimated; major San Francisco yoga institutions had shuttered for good. All of us could feel the void left by these community pillars. We craved a space to simply exist — and breathe — together.
It seemed that the universe was compelling us to take a step back, open our eyes, and reflect on the kind of world we wanted to create when we reemerged. Even through my own depression, I saw that silver lining.
I imagined when it was safe to gather again, I would welcome students into my living room to practice in a space that was comfortable and safe, and, most importantly, communal. But, as time unfolded, I realized this dream was so much bigger than what my apartment living room could contain. HAUM was born as a way for us to transition into a new future — together.
Our Mission studio opened its doors in July 2021, and we could immediately feel the warmth and excitement of communal practice. One year later, our Haight-Ashbury location welcomed its first guests. We are immensely honored to be part of and serve these vibrant historic communities.

In 2025, HAUM expanded beyond San Francisco, bringing HAUM to Flagler Village, Fort Lauderdale—a new home for movement, connection, and community. While the location is new, the heart of HAUM remains the same: a space where people come as they are, breathe, and grow together.
HAUM is a welcoming space for intentional practice — we offer classes, meditation, workshops, and training. More than anything, HAUM exists so that all of us can connect with ourselves, with our community, and to ideas and experiences that bring us closer to our inner knowing.
At HAUM, we believe everyone deserves to experience the transformational journey of coming home to who they truly are. That’s where the magic happens.
HAUM is my offering to our community to connect with each other again.
Welcome home.
